Abcedarian

A poem having verses/words beginning with successive letters of the alphabet. I chose to use the letters from my first name as there are no repeated letters and there are only six of then

Can you hear?
Elephants trumpet
Horses neigh
Lions roar
Right away
You run and hide

It is a start. Here let me try again...

Cruel thoughts
Enter my mind
Holding me prisoner
Like chains
Round my body

Couldn't find the right line for Y. Lots of lines but nothing makes sense with the rest of it.
