February Quotes

If January is the month of motivation, February is the month of adjustment

Hello February
Fire will always
Extinguish unless it’s
Burning in your soul.
Rain will always stop
Unless it pours
Again in your heart.
Reshape your mindset and
You’ll reclaim your power.

To you:  some of the quotes that are going into my Journal for February

No worries, no hurry; you’ll get there step by step.

In February, there is everything to hope for and nothing to regret.

Playing an old game

 a wikipedia treasure hunt.

I started with Thyroid Disease in Women

Thyroid disease in women is an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid in women. This condition can have a profound effect during pregnancy and on the child. It also is called Hashimoto's thyroiditis (theye-royd-EYET-uhss). During pregnancy, the infant may be seriously affected and have a variety of birth defects. Many women with Hashimoto's disease develop an underactive thyroid. They may have mild or no symptoms at first, but symptoms tend to worsen over time. If a woman is pregnant and has symptoms of Hashimoto's disease, the clinician will do an exam and order one or more tests.[1][2][3]

 Hashimoto's thyroiditis

Hashimoto's disease is about seven times more common in women than in men. It can occur in teens and young women, but more commonly appears in middle age, particularly for men. People who develop Hashimoto's disease often have family members who have thyroid or other autoimmune diseases, and sometimes have other autoimmune diseases themselves.[17]

middle age

Middle age is the age range of the years halfway between childhood and old age.[1] The exact range is subject to medical debate, but the term is commonly used to denote the age range from around 40–45 years to around 60–65.[2][3][4] This phase of life is marked by gradual physical, cognitive, and social decline in individuals as they age.

age

Ageing (or aging in American English) is the process of becoming older. The term refers mainly to humans, many other animals, and fungi, whereas for example, bacteria, perennial plants and some simple animals are potentially biologically immortal.[1] In a broader sense, ageing can refer to single cells within an organism which have ceased dividing, or to the population of a species.[2]

population of a species

The UN predicts the rate of population ageing in the 21st century will exceed that of the previous century.[2] The number of people aged 60 years and over has tripled since 1950 and reached 600 million in 2000 and surpassed 700 million in 2006. It is projected that the combined senior and geriatric population will reach 2.1 billion by 2050

 2050

2055 song
"2055" is a song by American rapper Sleepy Hallow, released on April 14, 2021 as the second single from his debut studio album Still Sleep? (2021).[1][2] Produced by Great John and UV Killin Em, it is his highest-charting song, peaking at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100. The official remix of the song was released on July 28, 2021, and features American rapper Coi Leray.

Still Sleep? (2021)

Still Sleep? is the debut studio album by American rapper Sleepy Hallow, released on June 2, 2021, through Winners Circle Entertainment and RCA Records.[1] It was produced by Great John and includes the singles "Tip Toe" (with Sheff G) and "2055". Great Song.

As you can see most of these links are repeats. I can keep going but this has been a long enough treasure hunt think for you to remember the game. Next week maybe I'll do another.

January 1st 2024

Yesterday was a travel day so I didn't do much, today I'm making up for it. Most of the work goes in my writing journal, that way I can get my words straight and understandable. My brain is fragmenting fairly regularly these days which makes quickly writing anything problematic.

So Goals fist, they are not resolutions as that indicates temporary plans, goals gives the result required with the steps for it to happen. Making them much more likely to be completed.

Goals:

1) Weight loss is still high priority to reduce my sugar levels, cholesterol levels and ease the wear and tear on my joints which have been steadily getting worse.

a) a daily walk through my building (this includes several sets of stairs), once I have timed it and checked the steps I will know how many times I'll have to do it in a day.

b) a concentration on low GI foods while eating around 1400 calories per day. - MOW provides around 500 calories per day so I will be continuing them but I'm going to have to add the other 900 calories which means I will be doing some cooking.

c) Once a week spend 2 hours outside. Taking pictures should make this fairly easy. To set it firmly I will make Wednesday my outside day, a start time of 11 am. If I schedule it I will do it

2) Homemaking is the second most important thing I need to focus on. It includes cleaning, organizing and cooking.

a) The Flylady approach with her concentration on surface clean vs deep clean still rings as the easiest thing for me to do. The link above will take you to the page where she lists all her routines rather than me waste space with them here. Her plan is the one I will follow again this year.

b) Organizing is a big issue for me first because I live in a bachelor, and second because I am happiest when I have plenty of floor room to move around on.  There are several web sites I access for monthly plans on what to get rid of but my favourite is Declutter 365. It has some self-care things as well as other Declutter ideas. Decluttering in the only way I've found for me to organize things.

c) I've gotten out of the habit of cooking for myself and as mentioned in #1 I need to overhaul my diet somehow. Cooking for myself is one way to do this. If nothing else I'll be able to control the number of substances entering my body. I only have one recipe site I use and that is because as their name states they are all recipes and nothing but recipes, they have also sorted them into categories so if you know what meal, what the main ingredient is, etc you will find a category.

3) Education while not necessary keeps my mind engaged and challenges me to do more than just read all day. I have been challenging my mind because I fear Dementia and I will fight against it as much as possible. There are three areas that I am concentrating on right now, they are ChatGPS/AI, Creation within Adobe and writing.

a) ChatGPS/AI: This is the base I want to work with in both art creation and writing. It is only recently came into my view and I am enjoying playing with it but I want to get better. I want to get good enough that I can create original collages that look interesting. I am less sure how it can help with writing but if it helps me to get either Woulf or My Poetry completed this year I'm right there.

b) Creation within Adobe I want to be skilled on the Adobe platform. My aim is still to create an animation short and up until recently I've been taking the long way but this year I want to focus on Animate & their other animation tools within the other apps.

c) Between the AI generating images and words to fill in where my own skills don't, the Adobe Assets for Indesign and other publishing applications my goal this year is to finish the design of the poetry book and create a short story about Woulf. Probably a picture book perhaps a graphic novel but that depends on what I learn.

There are other categories that may be part of  your goals list but these are my 3 main ones. I have been writing for a few hours it seems between here and my notebook so I'm taking a break.

The Things August Gave Me

August was supposed to be my month of rest. You know, where you put down all your burdens and just relax a bit. That did not happen. Instead...
