Spunky Old Broads Day February 1st

The celebration of spunky old broads was created as a month-long holiday by Dr. Gayle Carson, and the first day of the celebration has also become Spunky Old Broads Day. Carson, a coach and advisor to CEOs and entrepreneurial managers around the world, who focuses on helping older women in particular, thought that the words spunky, old, and broad all had negative connotations, and decided to put them together to create something positive, coming up with Spunky Old Broads (SOBs). The day and month celebrate women 50 and older who don't want to get old quietly, and "who are interested in living a regret-free life." She chose February, as that is her birth month.

How to Observe Spunky Old Broads Day

If you are a woman over 50, spend the day living life to the fullest. Get out of your house and refuse to be quiet. Reinvigorate the spunkiness in your soul and do something you've never done before. If you aren't a woman or are a woman who is not over 50, you can celebrate by thinking of all the spunky old broads you know, and by celebrating them. You could also celebrate some spunky old broads in culture. One way to do so could be by watching episodes of The Golden Girls.

Gayle Carson has some specific ways that spunky old broads can celebrate or be celebrated. Schedule a phone conversation with Carson, become a member of the Spunky Old Broad Club, or check out her books and other products. Listen to one of her podcasts, book her for a live speaking event, or explore her free articles and videos.

As it happens February is Spunky old broads month as well as the month of love. As a spunky old broad in her second decade I have begun to embrace my inner self much more. These few years changing my outlook on life a lot and My view of myself.

I find myself fighting to keep myself moving forward on this path my tendency is to hide and run away from change so this is a new experience for me.

Certain people in my life have called me mean but all I'm doing is being frank and stating my personal thoughts. My whole life I've tried to not rock the boat but I think it is time I stepped forward and became true to myself

This year my word of the year is alive  and my motto, "Do unto other's as you would have them do unto you".

This is the future I want:

February Quotes

If January is the month of motivation, February is the month of adjustment

Hello February
Fire will always
Extinguish unless it’s
Burning in your soul.
Rain will always stop
Unless it pours
Again in your heart.
Reshape your mindset and
You’ll reclaim your power.

To you:  some of the quotes that are going into my Journal for February

February reminders
Your time is too valuable for self-doubts and worries.
You are already and will always be loved.
It’s ok to do what’s best for you.
The only person you can’t afford to lose is you.
No worries, no hurry; you’ll get there step by step.

In February, there is everything to hope for and nothing to regret.
– Patience Strong
